What to expect
Every evaluation starts with a phone intake so we understand the questions you want answered and can confirm coverage and cost up front. Next is a clinical interview covering development, health, school and work history. Testing usually takes one to three appointments. Afterwards we meet with you to explain the results in plain language, and you receive a written report with a diagnosis (if one applies) and specific recommendations.
Most families receive their feedback session within a few weeks of the final testing appointment. If you have a deadline, such as an IEP meeting, a college accommodation request or a court date, tell us at intake so we can plan for it.
Local support in Palm Beach County
Our reports are written for the people who will use them. School teams in the School District of Palm Beach County can use them when considering eligibility for an IEP or 504 plan. Families of children diagnosed with autism can contact the FAU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), which serves Palm Beach County, and may use the diagnosis when applying for the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities. For cases in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, our forensic and competency evaluations follow Florida court requirements.
Cost and insurance
We are in network with Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, UMR, Oscar Health, MultiPlan, Medicare and VA Community Care. You are responsible for your deductible and copays. Educational, ADHD-only and court-ordered evaluations are often not covered by insurance. Out of network, evaluations are $160 per hour and a comprehensive assessment is typically 12 to 18 billable hours. Court-ordered evaluations begin at $250 per hour. Who you will see
Our clinical team is led by founder Dr. Moresa Mowatt, Psy.D., a licensed school psychologist with more than 17 years of assessment experience. Learn about each clinician on the Our Team page.
