Tamika is currently pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology. She was born in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Fort Myers, Florida, and graduated from Fort Myers High School. After graduating high school, Tamika earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology and Master’s of Science in School Psychology from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Ms. Matthews has over 16 years of experience. Tamika enjoys working with people and being a School Psychologist allows her to work with students, parents, and educators to assist with overall student success, emotionally and academically. Ms. Matthews specializes in working with individuals with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Ms. Matthews is a Certified and Licensed School Psychologist in the state of Florida. In addition to conducting Psycho-educational evaluations within the public school setting, Ms. Matthews also conducts Psychological and Vocational evaluations. As the Associate Director for We Care Support Services, she assists with Employment Services for individuals with disabilities and training the Vocational Evaluator Assistants.

Ms. Matthews believes in giving back to the community. She volunteers countless hours and raises money for worthy causes and organizations such as the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, and the United Negro College Fund. Her passion is mentoring teenage girls, and she has been a mentor through Big Brother Big Sister for more than 20 years.
